Healthcare systems across the continent are challenged in delivering the standards of care people require and in overcoming complex and concomitant disease burdens within constrained environments. Citizens and patients seek a positive experience ofcare in these systems and ultimately want to lead healthy and economically productive lives. No single institution can be the custodian for promoting and delivering health to a continent. Rather, it requires the involvement of everyone in developing new approaches to tackling the complex challenges in our context.
