Impact Investing in Africa is a specialised short course, offered by the Bertha Centre for Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the UCT GSB, designed to equip fund managers, asset owners, consultants and other financial intermediaries with **expertise in this rapidly growing field.
Most major financial institutions are involved in the impact investing market by building in-house expertise. However, many wealth managers, consultants and funders have yet to build their own expertise to meet the demand from a new generation of wealth holders. The fast-emerging industry, estimated at $750 billion globally in 2020, requires new financial models, new metrics and new regulation.
The Impact Investing in Africa Course is the only one of its kind on the African continent. It features tailor made curriculum from the Bertha Centre, a thought leader in Impact Investing education, with lectures from leading impact investing practitioners.
