Education Innovations & Youth
Bertha Centre hosts the Schools Inclusive Governance Network (SIGN) Workshops for recently appointed members of School Governing Bodies in public schools, in order to support the development of democratic, accountable and inclusive school governance and leadership.
Unity, inclusion and understanding are the basic tenets of a successful and prosperous society. If South Africa is to develop into a thriving society then work needs to be done across all of society to promote inclusive practices and mechanisms that ensure that all who live in it are made to feel understood, included and accepted. This work often starts in the school - schools are complex organizations that are challenging to lead and manage. They do not function in a vacuum, insulated from the political, economic, and social forces at play in society.
Intended Audience: Members of School Governing Bodies.
Keep an eye out for updates on future workshops.
