Nothando Adu-Gyamfi

MBA

Nothando is a qualified engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical & Biochemical Engineering from Brown University in Providence, USA. For her work in community building and student advocacy, Nothando received several awards from Brown, including the Alfred H. Joslin Award and the Brown Center for Students of Color Award. Throughout her undergraduate years, Nothando's passion for sustainability and social impact extended beyond the classroom. She actively participated in internships with the Brown Office of Sustainability, the South African-based social enterprise Plentify, and was coordinator for student-led initiative Safewalk@Brown. These experiences laid the groundwork for her future endeavours in the intersection of business and social responsibility.

Post-graduation, Nothando embarked on a dynamic career at Procter & Gamble in Dubai, UAE, assuming the role of Supply Chain Manager. Her noteworthy achievements included spearheading a sustainable supply network design project for Sub-Sahara Africa and leading annual supply chain academies for P&G distributors in the Gulf region, enabling joint value creation across all nodes of the supply chain. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Nothando and her team were also recognized by the CEO of P&G for continued business resilience and continuity despite global supply chain disruptions. 

Beyond her professional achievements, Nothando's intellectual curiosity and commitment to societal progress led her to avidly pursue a better understanding of the intersection of social innovation, enterprise and contemporary African issues.
