Kudakwashe is a Zimbabwean technologist, volunteer, and mentor with a vision of developing successful tech-driven businesses and technology professionals across the African continent. As an information systems specialist with experience in the world of business analysis and agile software development, Kudakwashe ensures the smooth delivery of technological solutions. He is passionate about using well-designed technology to make meaningful change in people’s lives.
After spending time in corporate South Africa, Kudakwashe joined the fast-paced Cape Town start-up scene, where he currently leads the development of tech social-impact tools designed to improve the lives of workers across global supply chains. His career in technology and software delivery in the African social impact space involves building teams and leading the creation of innovative technology. As the head of technology at &Wider, a social-impact business based in Cape Town, Kudakwashe has been instrumental in growing the organisation’s global footprint by delivering solutions in over 20 countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, and South America.
Kudakwashe believes that the Bertha Centre Scholar community offers platforms for active and intentional collaboration on issues that are affecting the African continent - through which one can champion the development of solutions to uniquely African challenges, to improve the continent’s socio-economic well-being.
