Jason Van Staden

Jason is a Project Manager, Research and Training, in the Bertha Centre's Innovative Finance portfolio. He completed his BCom Honours (Information Systems) and Doctorate (Management) degrees at the University of the Witwatersrand, where he also did a postdoctoral research fellowship which was subsequently published in an A-rated ABDC journal. Following this, Jason lectured Management and Innovation courses at the University of the Witwatersrand. Having a passion for entrepreneurship, innovation and social change, Jason has founded two tech-based startups, both aimed at addressing a social challenge. He hopes to use his skills, knowledge and experience in research, technology and finance to bring impactful social change.
